Then you must be as excited as I am to get it on with the festivities; time to head on out to your christmas tree shop and let the good times roll.

We all know christmas trees are a common sight during the holidays. What will make your little tree stand out? Well, for one thing you can put your heart on its pine sleeves. String up family photos, trinkets and tokens of moments that mark special days in your lives. Wind it around each tier and watch laughing recollections of shared journeys commence. Lay on a lot of sparkle and glitter in the Xmas decorations that you use.

Do not limit your decorations to the living room"feel free to adorn the other rooms in your house with holiday cheer. Hang wreaths and garlands on stairwells and doorways. Mount miniature trees decked with treats and candy canes and place it in the other rooms. You will be the most popular aunt for the months to come.

Hang personalized stockings by your chimney. If no fireplaces are available, put them on the wall where Santa can see them right away"not too high though, mom might not be able to reach it. Wrap pretty silk and velvet ribbons on your stair railings and window panes. Go ahead, whip out that mistletoe and attach it securely by your doorway"you have the perfect excuse now.

For those with extra time in their hands, homemade Xmas decorations are excellent projects you can do this season. Not only will you save money, it will lend a homey and cozy feel to where you decide to put it. Go with a color scheme to tie the over-all look together. You can do little christmas baskets intertwined with pretty flowers and aromatic herbs. Even simpler, fasten bells and excess trimmings on stockings and yuletide appropriate figurines.

And of course we cant forget the front lawn right? This is a lot of space to go wild about. Dont hold back with your ideas, let them flow freely. Be colorful and over the top, its Christmas anyway. It doesnt have to be expensive; but you will need to have fun. Draw big images of stars or anything Christmas related, and spray paint it with glitter. Purchase those Styrofoam balls in many sizes and assemble them into party loving Snowmen in your yard.

Are you having fun already? Make sure that even as you enjoy the season, always take the necessary safety precautions. Avoid leaving water or any form of liquid near electrical Xmas decorations. Dont leave christmas lights on all night no matter how pretty they look and hang up ornaments in higher places in a sturdy and secure step ladder. A good friend to hold on to you is a good idea as well.

Finally, decorate with love. Its Christmas after all, a breeding ground for love and goodwill towards all men and all circumstances. No matter what the past year has brought you– there is always Hope that comes in every new day. Receive your best this Christmas and enjoy life. Happy holidays!
